January 2010

I have posted a variety of pictures from January and will quickly run thru our month. I need to get caught up!!!
Emma got her final gift from her "Uncle" Dave and Mary, which is Daddy's best friend. It just cracked me up that this day was cold and she has on bib overalls and is given a gorgeous dress!

About 7:45. It had actually just barely froze the night before.

We wore double layers of jammies to bed each night and socks!! Gots to keep this baby girl warm!

Yep, that is frost on our car in south FLORIDA!!! It did snow a bit in various parts of Florida during the night.

More free stuff. Coupons, Free item coupons and a full-size bottle of a new Suave product.

A visit from Steph and Halie made for some fun times for the girls!!

Dancing and laughing and having a blast!!
.
Emma got a "new" kitchen play set. We found it at Goodwill for 30% off 3.99 back in the fall!!! Great shape but at the time she wasn't ready for it. So, we waited until she was ready to play pretend and then had to wait a bit more to get thru the Christmas season.

Sippin' some tea!

Pouring some more! This is her teapot from Nana that bubbles and makes pouring noises when you tip it.

My very first totally homemade pizza! I made the crust and all! Mushroom, onion, ham & pineapple. It was sooOOOoooOOOOooooOOOOOooooOOOOOoooo good!! Made it several times since!

Uncle Jon & my parents came for dinner ( I made some super delish country style BBQ ribs) and Emma treated them to a tea party!

Pinky's up, gentlemen!

Emma LOVES her Daddy! She loves to follow him around and help in anyway she can. Today it was mowing the lawn. She followed him back and forth and back and forth...

Uncle Jon came down to see his parents and ended up staying longer than expected, so Jon & Margaret came to collect him. We all had Sunday dinner together. Here are the gals playing piano.

Jon, Margaret and their 2 middle girls with Grandma & Grandpa Delamarter.

Another generation plunkin' away on Grandma Delamarter's piano.

2 of Jon &n Margaret's girls with Grandma. She looks much better in this picture, but she still had horrible bruising on her face from a terrible fall. It is so hard to see my grandparent's get old and frail.

Saying "bye bye" to Jon. (she wrapped him right around her lil' fingers!)

Another week of freebies: several free samples and coupons for free items ( 1 was for tuna. I saved it for almost 2 months and used it on a BOGO sale for 2 free albacore tuna)

Miss Hollywood Emma
She certainly has her own sense of style... Bracelets, necklaces, Burger King crown, and the oh-so-lovely butterfly sunglasses. She loves being able to make some of her own choices for things to wear each day.

This is all of my freebies from this week and it totaled almost $200. Coupons for free items, 2 free magazine subscriptions, samples, coupon booklets and $100 worth of Publix gift certificates for transferring my prescription to them and keeping it there for 3 more months. FOR SURE!! Free money!!

A stop by Goodwill found us a wooden ricking chair for $7! It was sturdy and in great shape. It is a good size that fits her ok now but has room to grow.

Emma spends her mornings with Daddy. Eating breakfast, "helping" him get ready for work... She helps choose his socks and sometimes gets his shoes. Today she decided she needed to wear them! Look at those lil' toes sticking out!

We, as an extended family, drove to Kissimmee to have dinner with our cousin Karyn. We hadn't seen her since our Granny's funeral many, many, many years ago. She was coming to Disney with her family and we met up for dinner.

We had dinner at Giordano's, which serves an awesome deep-dish Chicago style pizza. This is normally a fantastic meal, but this day while it looks awesome, it wasn't quite so tasty.

Here we all are: Aunt Becky, Cyndi & her 2 boys, Steph and Halie, Emma & I, Mom & Dad and Karyn, her hubby, his son and her granddaughter Halie.

Here are us 4 cousins: Cyndi (Aunt Becky's), Karyn (Aunt Susan's), me and Steph. After dinner, Nana & Papaw took Emma and Halie back to the hotel and we hung out for awhile.

We spent the night, went out for breakfast and then headed home. Here are the girls heading off to the car for breakfast. Best buds!

Uh! Oh! Ice cream at breakfast???? Leave it o Papaw! We were about dine eating and Papaw shows up with a chocolate ice cream cone for Halie. Emma had vanilla.

Vanilla was a good choice, as she ate it from the cone up and had a MESS!!

Check out that happy ice cream face!

Here we are with Daddy's first attempt at pony tails, A bit lopsided, but so proud of him for trying it!

LOL!!! Emma's latest shoes. Soda boxes on her feet make impromptu shoes.

We had a great month and hop you enjoyed reading/looking at it with us!
