April 2010 Happenings:

We took Emma to the "Big park" on Darwin for their Easter Egg Hunt. They have each ball field designated for a different age group. The eggs are just simply scattered all over the field, so no real hunting. But, still fun!

She filled up her bag pretty quickly, which was a good thing. There were SOOO many small kids and their parents!! Afterwards, we stopped by our local Walgreens and had her picture taken with the Easter bunny... Well.... her and Daddy's picture. She WOULD NOT have nothing to do with that bunny on her own! The y were offering a free 5 x7 to anyone who came in. Purty nifty!

While at Walgreens, Nana called and said "let's make a spur of the moment road trip. Let's go see Stephanie and Halie." SURE!!! So, she showed up to get us about 45 minutes later and we girls headed off.

Nana had bought the girls both lavender sundresses with a thin jacket and had brought them each an Easter "basket" filled with lots of cool stuff.

She also had brought plastic eggs with coins and candy inside and we had an egg hunt. They loved that !! They actually had to hunt for them too. :-)

Here is Emma in deep hunting mode...

Still hunting.....

Emma enjoyed playing with Halie's bubble lawnmower so much that she ended up getting one for her birthday a few months later. :-) (somehow that photo has disappeared....)

They had SOOO MUCH fun that day! Was totally worth the 4 hours driving time!! We had a great day with the Egg hunt, the trip to Stephanie's and time spent with family!

Then, it is Easter morning...
Here is Emma with her basket. Band aids, watering can, markers, pencils, among other things...

New shades!!!

and bubbles...

and her Children's Place Easter dress that I found for $1 at Goodwill! Perfect condition and it had the matching panties/bloomers. (Found it at the Back to School sale when all kids clothes were $1 each).

I hot glued paper scrapbooking flowers onto her headband thinking they match and will look cute for today, BUT by the time we got to church she had pulled it off and ate the flowers!!! Glad I got these beforehand...

Here she is posing in the pink cape that I wore for Easter when I was 2. She is much taller than I was. My Mom saved that cape and I have saved it waiting for this day to arrive. And it is too small and it is too warm to enjoy it. Oh well, cute pictures anyway.

The Lovejoy family posing after church ( minus Emma's headband).

Posing with Papaw DeLamarter

Daddy & Emma

Silly Emma sitting in the tree. She is such a cutie! And such a ham sometimes!

Uncle John and Aunt Linda were here for this Easter, celebrating it as an extended family with Grandma & Grandpa D, as well.

Emma enjoying her cupcake frosting.

Mom's yummy chocolate cake and my Lemon Cheesecake. Both were delish!

Aunt Ruth, Mom, Dad, Aunt Linda and Uncle Jon. The Delamarter siblings and their spouses.

Our cutie Easter Bunny!

Emma LOVES to help! You can see her play vacuum off to the left, but she want sot do the real thing!! Let's hope she still likes to help in years to come...

Hee Hee! Wearing Mommy's high heels!! She thought she was so cool!

Later in the month it was Emma's 2nd cousin Isaiah's birthday (my cousin Cyndi's 2nd son). He had a cowboy party, but it decided to rain that day and they moved the party inside.

Halie Dawn

Emma Rose riding the horse.... over and over...

She had a cute bandanna fabric dress to wear, but had no boots... SHE DID NOT WANT TO STOP RIDING THE HORSE!!

Here is the new prototype Coupon Binder Cover that I have made (for my coupon addiction):

It is to cover a regular binder to make it look nicer and easier to carry. I searched online and found Coupon Clutch. They make them for about $40. I made this one for free just to see if it would work.

It did and I then made another one out of remnant toille fabric. Mom ended up with this tan one. It has straps to carry it like a tote bag and the flaps to cover the ends so that nothing falls out. I spent about $5 on the new one.

Happy Anniversary Dee Dee and Martin, April 16th , 2010 makes for 5 years together.

Playing Playdough for one of the first times. I made the flower and butterfly for her.

Enjoying the "big park". She loves to climb and slide and swing...

She's so brave! has no fear!

Such a big girl!

Now we're trying out this Playdough business on our own...

She does love to use the dough now. So far she hasn't attempted eating it either... I'm sure that will come tho.

She loves playing with her tea set (from Nana) and using her new table and chairs. Check out her many pcs. of art on the walls too. :-)

Some of you wish I would blog more often and sometimes I wish I had kept up with it too, but it takes SOOOO long to upload the stinking pictures! It took from 9PM to 12:10AM to upload these pictures many months ago and I just now got to the journaling part!! Oh well, we are only 10 months behind....

March 2010 Happenings...

March 5th- emma helping out with the weekly vacuuming of the hard floors. She loves to help! Hope that lasts awhile!

Lots of FREEBIES this week! Rebate checks, coupons booklets, FREE item coupons!! I love couponing!!

March 10th- Happy birthday, Martin! Blueberry pancakes, eggs & sausages.

We met Rob's family at Golden Corrall for dinner. Sierra came right up and made friends with Emma, and she was her pal all week long!

Mom and Martin.
Emma helped make Daddy's birthday dessert- Strawberry Shortcake. She then proudly carried it to him. Such a big girl!

Emma's first time to attempt a bounce house. Our friend's grandson had a birthday party and she loved it!!!!

later at Nana's, some one gave her "chockie"..... What a mess! What great pictures! :-)

We took the kite bag and collected the kids and headed to the beach. Played int he sand and flew several different kites. FUN times!

Emma was NOT impressed with the sand on her bare feet! I had to put her shoes back on her!!
Those eyes!!!

Rob is flying a sport kite and Martin is laying down taking pictures.

The next day, we went shopping and bought "Daddy" candy as her potty reward, as well as new big girl undies!! She was so excited!!! We are ready to do this!!

Saturday, we all met as a family, out at Jonathin Dickinson State Park for the family picnic that Mom wanted for her birthday.

Halie, Emma and Josiah playing in the sand.

Emma had picked out the black heart brooch for Nana's gift.

By this time, the guys had all left to play golf, so we got a group photo w/ Nana.

Emma's first ring pop. Halie had brought one for all the kids. It lasted just long enough to make everything sticky...

Sunday after church, we met out in the courtyard behind the college snack shop for a photo session. Wind, hungry kids did not make for the best pictures, but hey- ya get what ya get!

Here we all are: 3 kids, 2 spouses and mom & dad. Dee Dee, Martin, Dad, Mom, Steph (Robert had to wrk that day, I believe), Rob & Leah.

They were SO incredibly tired of taking pictures, so I told them to make goofy faces! The little girls didn't really understand.

Here we all are with Grandma & Grandpa Delamarter.

Four generations of Delamarter men. The boys (Venice) were more cooperative once they understood this concept.

Mom made a superb dinner, of course. With so many people, we set up tables on the carport and ate outside.

Rob & his boys had matching shirts from Algozzini's. What handsome guys they are!

Grandpa Delamarter
Grandma D and Aunt Ruth

Dad and Mom (Yes, Dad had a beard that winter/spring)

Dad, Rob and the kids came for dinner and fun. I made a new recipe-Baked Chicken Pasta Parmesan, salad, bakery bread with dipping herbs. yum! Leah opted out of this one, as she is allergic to cats. They set up the Corn Hole boards and everyone took turns trying it out.

Miss Emma LOVES Uncle Rob. He can be such a goofball and she was loving every minute of it!

Rob's turn... think the underhand, granny toss will getcha more points??

Rob and the kids, just before leaving. You can take 10 pictures and in every one someone will not be looking at he camera, or be grumpy or picking their nose... We had such fun with them this trip!!!

The Indian Pow Wow takes place every year in Fort Pierce. Tribes from all across Florida and other southerns states come together. Part of it is for their own purposes, as well as to be able to show the traditional Indian way of living. Martin would like to go every year, but I usually persuade him otherwise.

The village. Some people bring these each year and really live in them over the weekend. There are cooking fires burning. Some are to visit and others are homes and you aren't allowed to enter.

Now this is FUNNY! English white man with his pale white daughter in a tee pee! He LOVES this Pow Wow tho!

Our lunch: Navajo tacos and sweet potato fries. YUMMMMM!!!!! The taco was an open faced taco on frybread.

Posing for a nice Mommy & Emma picture.... and who should stick their finger in their nose??? Not mommy! :-) It was soooo hot that day!

This was a storyteller. He was telling tales and legends right by the eating area. So we got to listen, take a rest and eat our lunch.

This guy was a musician, singing and playing a wooden flute. Lovely music. Totally modernized sale tent tho!

Kinda odd lookin' white man-indian... I guess that would be me tho if I were to dress up for this. The last generation on Mom's side to claim her Indian heritage, but just as white looking as can be!

The last Sunday in March, before church. Wearing a dress from Auntie Sarah.

Posing out in our back garden by the lovely Bougainvillea. They make beautiful flowers, but have horrid long thorns!

She loves the color purple right now and is in love with "flowies"!

This brings us to the end of MARCH.... We are now in September.....
(thank Aunt Naomi for prodding me to get this going again!)
