Then, at CVS, here was a singing, ear wagging dog that cost about the same amount of $$ that she had collected from Nana here and there.
She loves that silly dog!!
And she was totally upset when it was time to pack away her room's Christmas decorations and toys (even tho it was like January 6 or 7) !! Wonder if she will adore it as much next year??
She did so very well while we wandered! I only had to carry her in one room, which was filled with shelves and shelves of old glass dishes and tchotchkes that Mommy didn't want to have to worry about paying for.
Upstairs we found this lovely metal framed bouncing, rocking horse. I had one like it, only with different colors, when I was small. I wanted it for her SO BAD!! They wanted too much for it and I had to walk away. Sadly walk away. 
But, we had to try it out twice before walking away from it. :) Then we spent awhile at a local park. She had a blast swinging and sliding down the many slides. We finally left because Mommy was dripping with sweat and getting cranky. We had a fun first day of the Labor Day weekend.
I paid $1 for it, as it was in great shape, other than the little "hood" type flap was missing. Because it was missing, I did not know at that time that it was a name brand toy. I also didn't realize that it was also a car/vehicle. It was set up as a push toy and I was willing to pay $1 for that. Once we got it home, Martin started messing around with it and found that it had a button to push and it collapsed down and became a vehicle! She's not quite ready for the push toy, so a vehicle made it usable right now.
Later that week, the new Toys R US leaflet came and Martin looked through it and exclaimed "here is Emma's car. On sale for $24.99." I couldn't believe it! It was Playskool and it was a $28 item and we paid $1 for it!!! Thank you, Lord! She needed different, big girl toys and that one day of yard sales we found about $125 worth and only paid about $12.
She wasn't too sure about that car at first, but after a few times of trying it out, she now loves it! She is slowly learning that if she moves her feet, she moves the car. Come on, girlfriend. Going fast is fun!
Oops! Also learning that if you lean too far over, you fall off! And go Boom!

Here is Emma playing with her new toy. She likes the caterpillar, as it makes noises and has wheels and when pushed down, it inches along like it is crawling. Because it moves, it makes her have to move around more to keep up with it.
It was quite cool in the house that day, and I dressed her in jeans and a long sleeved shirt. Grammy & Gramps sent her the shirt for Christmas and it says "I Am the Cutest Baby in the World". It is in more boyish colors and we had no headband that matched, so you might guess that she was a cute lil' boy if you just passed by, like at the grocery store or something. :) We do want an Ethan someday...
You can see her front toofies in that big ol' grin of hers! She loves her toys! She got a new wooden duck rattle from Aunt Steph and she likes it alot!
We moved her floor gym into her bedroom for several reasons. One, it is carpeted and I don't have to worry if she topples over. Two, I can't stand clutter & crowded spaces and could only take so many baby things in the living room at any one time. Three, she needs her "alone" play time and she does like & feel comfortable to do this in her own room, at least for 5-15 mintes at a time.
